Art and Design Department

There are three members of staff in this Department, Mrs Lenaghan, Ms Robson and Mr Dick. Accommodation comprises of three Art rooms, a kiln room and a dark room.

In S1 and S2 a 5 - 14 Art course is offered for two periods per week. In S3 and S4 Standard Grade Art is offered for 4 periods per week. In S5 and S6 Higher Still courses at Intermediate 2, Higher and Advanced Higher are offered. There is also an opportunity for senior students who do not wish to follow the Advanced Higher course to continue with individual programmes of work.

The Art Department has a regular programme of visits to galleries and degree shows as an integral part of courses from S3 onwards.
