Requirements Storyboards

These 'mock screenshots' are used to show the approximate course of eventsthat may be encountered when using the simulator. They are not accuraterepresentations of the user interface and as a result, the layout and interfacestyle may alter in future version. Each screenshots is preceeded with atext explanation. Although I have endeavoured to reduce the graphics' sizeto a minimum, the page may take a while to load all the screenshots.

The simulation takes place between two terminals, named Peter and Jane.these names will be user definable and provide a more realistic namingprocedure than a hex or binary code.

The interface uses the following layout:

Layout

1) Program is loaded, establishes communication with other machineand initialises.

Screen2

2) A Request to Send is sent to the other machine.

Screen3

3) The other machine receives the RTS and sends back a Clear to Send.

Screen4

4) The CTS is received and the user builds the package putting in thetwo addresses, the message and the CRC is calculated. The packet is graphicallybuilt up in the process.

Screen5

5) The packet is sent to the other machine.

Screen6

6) The packet is successfully received by the other machine and anACK is sent back. (NB: A random error routine will be added to allow useof the NACK)

Screen7

7) The ACK is received by the first machine. The process can now be repeated by one machine sending an RTS.
