Faith and Philosophy Department

There are two members of staff in the Faith and Philosophy Department, Ms Wendy Giles and Mrs AliMay Loten (who is currently covering for Ms. Adele Tansey). Accommodation comprises of two newly built classrooms.

The Department offers a CfE course for one period per week in S1 and S2, a Standard Grade Religious Studies course in S3 and S4 for 4 periods per week and a core programme for all pupils in S3 and S4 in Religious Education. In S5 and S6 the Department offers Higher Still courses in Religious Studies and Philosophy at Intermediate, Higher and Advanced Higher levels.

The Department offers a number of excursions to places of worship in the Kelso area and further afield.
