Technical Education Department

There are three members of staff in this Department under the leadership of Mr A Martin, Principal Teacher. Accommodation comprises of two practical rooms for use in woodwork and metal work and a design room which can also be used for graphic communication. The Department also has access to an IT room located next to the Department which is used for graphic communication.

In S1 and S2 the Department offers a course in craft, design and technology for 2 periods per week. In S3 and S4, Standard Grade courses in Craft & Design and Graphic Communication are offered for 4 periods per week.

In addition, an Intermediate 1 / 2 course in Practical Craft Skills is offered. In S5 and S6, Higher Still courses in Practical Craft Skills at Intermediate 2 level, Product Design and Graphic Communication at Intermediate 2, Higher and Advanced Higher level are also offered.
