Independent State of Kelso High School

On February 22nd 2007 Kelso high school took the bold step of declaring themselves independent. A formal ceremony took place with Mr Charlie Robinson rector and founding father of the state of the free Kelso high school acting as master of ceremony. He unveiled a new flag, a national anthem and a national dance as all had been specially commissioned to mark the occasion.

For a three-week period all pupils and staff were encouraged to explore the realities of independence prior to a formal referendum held on March the 15th when all eligible citizens voted in favour of retaining our independent status by an overwhelming slightly unexpected majority.

Mr Charlie Robertson when interviewed today stated he was thrilled that the school had the opportunity to take part in such a unique learning experience. His only concerns were in regards to “ what happens next”. There is rumours however of a 5th year coup. Watch this space.
