London 2012

There have been growing concerns that sports and commiting groups across the Scottish Borders are going to be affected more so than other areas in the country, due to the ever rising cost of the London 2012 olympics. They are taking money out of the lottery fund to improve and build more facilitys for the olylimpics. This means there will be less funding for small groups around the Scottish Borders. Just two years ago the bugdet for the 2012 olymipics in London was 2.375 billion pounds but due to spiralling costs this has risen other 675 million pounds.
