School Age

The government are shortly expected to reveal if they feel that pupils should be made to stay in education until they are 18. In 1972 the age that pupils had stay on at school was moved to 16. The leaving age has changed a lot since 1899 when the age was 12.

It is expectedthat the government will announce their decision later in the week.
